STATE OF ALABAMA

COUNTY OF CONECUH

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

HELD BY CONECUH COUNTY COMMISSION

There shall be a public hearing held at the Commission Chambers in the Conecuh County Government Center on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. The Conecuh County Commission is considering a request to guarantee a loan from Cadence Bank to the Evergreen Medical Center in an amount not to exceed $ 750,000. The purpose of the loan is to payoff an existing obligation to SCM Specialty Finance Opportunities Fund, L.P., the payment of which, under its current terms, threatens the fiscal viability of maintaining the Evergreen Medical Center in Evergreen and Conecuh County. The maintenance of the only hospital in Conecuh County is in the best interest of the citizens of Conecuh County, In addition, the payoff of this obligation will allow the Evergreen Medical Center to pursue additional projects and create employment opportunities. In consideration of this action by the County Commission, public comments are to be heard.

If anyone shall need special assistance to attend this public hearing, please contact the Conecuh County Commission at 251-578-2095.

Our newspaper will no longer be available at:
The Chevron on Liberty Hill
The Diamond Station downtown

We pulled our newspapers from the Chevron Station on Liberty Hill
and the Diamond Station downtown because they kept hiding our newspapers
 where you couldn't find them.
We moved the papers from the Diamond to the VALERO gas station,
and the papers from the Chevron to the Shell Station and Jalisco's.
